

Through nearly seven years of service in the Florida Legislature, Amy Christian spearheaded numerous policy initiatives, working closely with House leadership, House members, senators, the executive branch and legislative staff to formulate and implement public policy.
Amy most recently served as the policy coordinator for Speaker of the House Allen Bense, directing House staff and managing all aspects of the legislative process, including leadership briefings, committee referrals, floor calendars and bill amendments. Her unparalleled inside knowledge of legislative rules and procedures includes assisting in the development of the 2004 to 2006 House Rules, managing the Subcommittee on Rules from 2002 to 2004, and serving as an analyst in the House Majority Office from 1999 to 2002.
Amy's areas of policy expertise include appropriations, business regulation, insurance, utilities, telecommunications, transportation, banking, economic development, international trade and tourism.
Prior to her service in the Florida Legislature, Amy was a legislative aide for Congressman Frank Lucas of Oklahoma in Washington DC, where she served in several roles, including policy analyst and external liaison. Her experience with federal issues includes telecommunications, foreign affairs, immigration, health and human services, Native-American affairs, and the Department of Interior.
Amy is a native of Oklahoma, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/ Marketing and International Business from Oklahoma State University.
